Prototype Description: Many of our organisations fail to create real change because of the lack of space and time to develop our own leadership and the leadership of others. It is time to build our capacities to support us create the conditions for systemic change – both by understanding the latest theories and by practicing and testing our leadership skills within the CitizensLab and in our own communities. As the CitizensLab community grows and learns, there is an increasing need to have more time and space to understand what systemic change is, for us and for our communities, and what kind of leadership and agency do we need to enact change. Deepening this knowledge will help us to better host the CitizensLab meeting in the future but also to design projects and collaborations that will have a greater impact. Through exploratory research, online meetings and a small retreat, the prototype aims at sowing the seeds for the organisation of a training in systemic leadership practice for the benefit of the CitizensLab and friends of the CitizensLab (MitOst, Bosch Alumni Network, other transnational networks). To break out of our bubble, this could be also offered to members of other European networks with similar endeavours. Aims of the prototype: The prototype aims at preparing the organisation of a training in systemic leadership practice for the benefit of the CitizensLab and friends of the CitizensLab (MitOst, Bosch Alumni Network, other transnational networks). To break out of the bubble, this could be also offered to members of other European networks with similar endeavours. The success of the prototype could be measured through: • deep learning for the prototype participants and the CitizensLab (through a session at the network meeting) on systemic leadership. • very short note of our understanding of system change within the prototype group, through readings, personal research, interviews within and outside of the CizitizensLab network. • a concept for a leadership training that could be fundraised for (or be supported pro-bono – venue, materials – if part of a larger event such as the MitOst Festival or project such as European Alternatives School of Transnational Activism – working title). Target Groups: CitizensLab members, MitOst members (Advocate Europe, Tandem participants), the Bosch Alumni network members and other networks’ members which pursue the same interests (European Alternatives).
