Sarj Lynch (Apprentice)

Sarj Lynch (they) is a facilitator and community care organizer with a lot of curiosity. They love dreaming alternate realities and practicing utopias with people who believe another world is possible, and who are doing the work to make it happen. Their praxis focuses on the materiality of how we can learn to live, work and organize in caring collective structures — even when we might not like each other! In 2026, they are primarily focused on supporting activist and cultural teams, collectives, organizations, and coalitions to stay cohesive and centered in their ethics as the times get tougher. They feel most at home in the grassroots that radicalized them. Sarj is a co-initiator and executive director of aequa (founded 2017), co-initiator/member of Berlin Collective Action e.V. (2020-2025), and the co-designer/host of Big Beef and Beyond (2024). Since 2021, they’ve been a resident at Refuge Worldwide, hosting the monthly aequa Radio — a platform to visibilize the often invisible work of the folks growing countercultures of care in their contexts, as we all learn to navigate accelerating collapse.
